CentrePeace Outreach (360G-PeoplesHealthTrust-2015_179)

This two-year project will train and support volunteer ‘Listeners’ to befriend local elderly residents who are facing isolation, through home visits or attending craft and storytelling sessions. The project will deliver PACCT 1 and PACCT 2 volunteering training courses, as well as regular volunteer support sessions. Activities will include individual support sessions, weekly drop-in sessions, and outreach and activity sessions for older people. In year 1 there will be 10 volunteers participating in centre or outreach activities at least once or twice a week, and there will be an additional 15 regular volunteers in year 2. The project will run in Paignton.
