Friday Friends (360G-PeoplesHealthTrust-2015_59)

£21,040

This new two-year project aims to support people on the Friday Hill estate in Chingford, Waltham Forest, by providing weekly social groups targeted at residents living alone (particularly but not exclusively older people). Activities will include half day community workshops, skill-shares sessions and informal socials (on the estate and beyond). Activities will take place both at the community hall on the estate and at the education centre at a nearby nature reserve. Content will be determined by participants and reviewed regularly in response to the group's needs and wishes. Participants will be encouraged to get involved in the planning process and to take an active role in decision making, organising and facilitating sessions.
