Glenburn, My Life, My Choice group (360G-PeoplesHealthTrust-2016_187)

£48,650

This existing two-year project previously funded by People’s Health Trust will expand the delivery of a weekly social hub for local residents with additional support needs living in the Easthall and Kildermorie areas of Glasgow, Scotland. Through run twice-weekly sessions residents will have the opportunity to meet friends and strengthen their social networks. The hub will offer a range of social activities, including arts and craft, sports, games, dance and music, as well as providing access to an IT suite and a cooked lunch. Local residents will shape project planning and delivery, with the support of staff. The work aims to improve social connections and promote mental and emotional wellbeing among the local residents.
