Preparation for Work (360G-PeoplesHealthTrust-2016_311)

This two-year project provided 'preparation for work' training on a weekly basis to enhance employability of adults with learning difficulties and disabilities in areas of North Ayrshire. As part of the project trainees recycled donated used computers, which are then distributed free to members of the local community who would benefit from them e.g. people who may be unemployed, housebound and others experiencing isolation. The direction of the training sessions was led by participants, who take an active involvement in the development, review, improvement and direction of the project. Two trainees were also represented on the organisation's Trustee board.
