This two-year project enabled women from black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities living in the Darnall area of Sheffield to socialise and take part in activities together. Women prepared and cooked national dishes to share as well as taking part in dance, craft and textile based activities. The activity was overseen by a trained counsellor who enabled women to share cultural experiences and unravel personal stories providing support and building friendships.
