Roots and Fruits (360G-PeoplesHealthTrust-2016_74)

£29,360
Recipient Organisation

This two-year project based on an existing, Trust-funded idea developed the contact and connection with nature experienced by children and families’ living on the Broomgrove, Farley Bank and Halton estates in Hastings. There were twice weekly activity sessions delivered at the Adventure Playground site, to raise environmental awareness and knowledge, increase gardening and conservation skills and provide a playful space for socialising and learning. Participants shaped the planning and development via informal monthly planning meetings.
