Looking to the future (360G-PeoplesHealthTrust-2022_133)

A two-year project for families in Whitby which include a child with Hidden Impairments. Sessions are provided in a non-judgmental fun space where parents can share their experiences to support their mental health and well-being by coming together and supporting each other. Activities include horse riding, swimming, family craft sessions, community meals, film evenings, coffee and chat sessions and visits from external organisations, such as therapy dogs. There are also family trips out and an external space and sensory garden for families to contribute to and use. The project aims to support families to develop peer support networks and improve in confidence by broadening their experiences.
