This two-year project provides weekly social meals in six locations for unemployed people from the Broxtowe Borough Council area of Nottinghamshire. Each week there is a different theme centred around improving educational and employment outcomes. Participants are involved in cooking the meals and have the opportunity to complete a qualification in food hygiene. The aim of the programme is to reduce the participants' social exclusion and build their confidence and skills.
