FOOTBALL UNITED (360G-PeoplesHealthTrust-2023_99)

£6,374

This one-year project provides a twice weekly football club for young people from racialised communities, refugees and people seeking asylum and from the wider community. Taking place in the Devonport and Stonehouse areas of Plymouth, the project aims to engender respect, build trust and develop friendships between those taking part, and to reduce fear and anxiety around negative portrayals of people from diverse cultures and ethnicities, to create a stronger, more integrated and respectful city. The sessions include time to share food and socialise together, and there are also friendly matches with other youth teams in the area.
