RHUBARB ADVICE HUB (360G-PeoplesHealthTrust-6338)

This two-year project in Bolsover, North East Derbyshire, supports people with mental health problems, long-term health conditions, disabled people, people with learning disabilities, in substance misuse recovery, with experience of the criminal justice system, LGBTQ+ people, older people, refugees, and those in low-income or insecure employment. Participants experience multiple barriers to accessing advice including physical distance from services, digital exclusion, cultural/language barriers, and mistrust of services. A weekly outreach advice hub delivered by Citizens Advice North East Derbyshire will provide advice on benefits, debt, housing, employment, legal matters, consumer issues, energy and immigration, with Rhubarb Farm identifying and referring participants and offering wellbeing-oriented support during and after the advice process, enabling participants to act on the advice received. This project aims to remove access barriers, improve participants’ health and wellbeing, and advocate for better integration of advice services across local and regional health services.
