This two-year project is supporting local people with mental health problems in Fallowfield, Manchester including refugees, people with experience of seeking asylum and LGBTQ people. It offers twice weekly Social and Therapeutic Horticulture sessions in the market garden in Platt’s Field Park to develop horticultural skills such as planting, harvesting, plant maintenance, beekeeping, seasonal eating and foraging. It aims to demonstrate to policy makers the benefits of community led natural spaces and nature based interventions.
