Advice for Health (A4H) (360G-PeoplesHealthTrust-7624)

This two-year project supports people living in Lincoln and Great Yarmouth who are culturally and linguistically diverse, have English as a second/other language and are from racialised communities, with a particular focus on those aged above 45 and women. The target community experience multiple barriers to accessing advice, including lack of awareness and understanding about services, discrimination, and limited language and digital skills. Multi-lingual community connectors will conduct outreach to engage the target community, and advisors will undertake individual needs assessments, facilitate engagement in activities that build skills and create stronger social links, and support engagement with GYROS’ accredited advice services. The project aims to support the target community to overcome barriers to advice, increase community leadership, and improve participants’ health and wellbeing.
