Inherited retinal dystrophies (IRDs) are the leading cause of visual loss in children and working adults .This request will support the identify of a cell death pathway responsible for photoreceptor loss in IRDs, and help identify a drug to help stop this. Fight for Sight are funding a three year project at Edinburgh University and looking for R S Macdonald to jointly help fund the research.
