VftF R7-MAGPIE-2025 (360G-RosaUK-3416-01-169603415)

£7,400 has been awarded to The Magpie Project to develop its campaign launched earlier this year calling for a ban on use of hotels with no kitchens to house mothers with children under five. It is also calling for an immediate support package for families, including community kitchens and financial aid. The campaign will target local MPs for a 10-minute bill or House debate, creating a select committee for families in temporary accommodation and working together with similar charities and groups on the issue nationally. Funding will also help Magpie Project to develop the expertise to keep its campaigners emotionally safe while telling their own stories and improve the Magpie Project's ability to measure the impact of its campaigning work.
