Funding Organisation
£10,000

£10,000 has been awarded to Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales to run a national campaign to underline the disproportionate impact on women who live more years disabled or with long-term illness than men. The campaign will include two ‘Drawing out Chronic Illness’ arts workshops where disabled women will be given the space and tools to create visual artworks about their lived experiences of health inequities. The work will culminate in an online gallery, poster and report which will include an analysis of the artworks and highlight changes required to improve healthcare for women in Wales. It will be shared with Welsh Government, NHS Wales and healthcare professionals to push for change.
