Recipient Org: Description Established in 1995 in response to concerns about youth homelessness and unemployment, the Foyer has reached beyond its early focus and provides various services across the north-east.  Foyer helps people build confidence and develop their skills and talents to make major, lasting changes in their lives.  We provide accommodation with support to former homeless and at-risk young people.  We also deliver education, training, counselling, employment support and health improvement initiatives to people of all ages.  We work to reduce poverty and disadvantage, supporting individuals who face multiple barriers to build confidence, develop and nurture talent and make lasting changes in their lives.  We achieve this by ensuring engagement in education, developing sustainable employment skills, supporting independent living and enabling positive health and wellbeing  We offer informal as well as accredited learning and training opportunities, to suit people at different points of moving towards and into work in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
