Recipient Org: Description EOTDT aims to support a vibrant, sustainable community in the Old Town by: developing enterprising projects meeting local needs; establishing a network of gardens and green spaces; promoting education and training; and preserving the area’s built and cultural heritage. Projects include: The Crannie community Hub. Opened November 2019 our newly built community hub provides space for local residents to come together, create and share activities and connections as well as campaigns to improve the area. Includes creative activities run by local residents such as the monthly music circle, songwriting and guitar lessons. Also a community led publishing collective that creates and publishes books including an anthology of essays, poems and sketches about local life In response to Covid and lockdown we have supported residents by: one to one support with individuals and families most isolated, weekly telephone calls, food provision, shopping or bus vouchers, and online group activities.
