Recipient Org: Description Big Hearts is a family-focused charity based at Tynecastle Park - the home of Heart of Midlothian Football Club. We are committed to making a difference in our local community and improving the lives of those facing disadvantage and social isolation. Over the past three years, we have grown our reach and impact, developing new ways to deliver vital support, building successful partnerships with like-minded organisations and extending the scope of our work across Gorgie/Dalry and the wider South West Edinburgh community. Throughout 2020, Big Hearts rose to the many challenges brought by Covid-19, delivering free tailored support to over 8,000 vulnerable adults and children – including young people living in care, BAME families, elderly people isolating at home and households facing financial insecurity. We were also appointed the Community Anchor for the Gorgie/Dalry area, helping to distribute vital support to those most in need.
