Recipient Org: Description OPFS is Scotland’s national organisation for single parent families. We provide support to single parent families through crisis interventions, family support, single parent tailored benefits and money advice, health & wellbeing support and support into training, education, and employment. We aim to enable single parents, the majority of whom are women, to escape poverty by overcoming the barriers to a decent standard of living, help achieve family wellbeing and give their children the best start in life. OPFS delivers support for family's services in 6 local authority areas and provides a unique national, specialist information and advice service to single parents and practitioners on key single parent issues. Information, advice, and support can be accessed through a range of multi-channel options. Each year OPFS supports around 8,000 parents, children, and young people across Scotland.
