Carers Capacity Building Fund 2022 (360G-SCVO-a133z00000KpOD5AAN)
We are seeking your generous funding in order to obtain office and IT equipment which will enhance our ability to offer training and support to parent carers. Our Service supports a broad geographical radius of 150 miles in Dumfries and Galloway and the equipment would allow us to better cover this area, reducing the burden of travel for the people we support. Additionally, our Stranraer office is in need of furnishings to enable it to be a welcoming and functional space for families to come and access support. Furthermore, we are also applying for cameras and the associated accessories to improve our ability to capture evidence of support as well as being able to provide families with photos and videos from activities they may take part in. Our application further includes bespoke training in Charitylog to make the best use of its database functions for our Service.

The main objectives of the fund are to increase the capacity of carer services, specifically so that: More carers can access expanded/improved support from local career services Local carer support organisations have more of the equipment and systems they need to improve their capacity to deliver carer support Local carer services are better set up to deliver support safely while minimising Covid risk to staff and unpaid carers.Applications will be open from 11th April until 10th June. You have been invited to apply as you meet the qualifying criteria below.Your organisation or project* has unpaid carers as their primary beneficiary Your organisation or project provides information and support to either adult carers and/or young carers The carer services you provide are available to all adult and/or young carers within your local area and are not restricted to specific caring communities; or condition-specific groupsYour organisation or project is locally based and has a geographical remit to support carers within a specific local authority area or areasThe carer support service may be part of a larger organisation.
