Recipient Org: Description The main aim of our organisation is to Combat Loneliness, Reduce Isolation, Encourage Friendship, and this is achieved by welcoming individuals with a disability, whether physical, mental or due to isolation, to our centre where we have a cafe, open every week day from 9.30am until 3.30pm, some week-ends and evenings, serving good home cooked food in a safe and friendly environment and at an affordable price, and an Active Living Centre which holds courses, activities and events. All of these services encourage those vulnerable individuals to interact with the local communkty, builds their confidence and helps them to live a full and active social life. Our mini bus is used to transport individuals to and from the centre during the week, provides trips out and is also available for hire to other local organisations that need a disabled accessible vehicle.
