Recipient Org: Description The objective of our Club is to provide opportunities to play football in a friendly, social environment and contribute to the local community where possible. Currently we provide football teams for boys and girls from aged 5 and upwards, including adult teams. We are an FA Charter Standard Club, meaning we provide our teams with appropriately qualified coaches to support the development and welfare of our players. Each of our 10 teams usually have 1 training session and 1 competitive match each week. While we do raise income from charging our players fees, we strive to raise as much as we can through fundraising events and sponsorships so that we can keep these fees as low as possible - ensuring that cost is not a barrier for our community to play football. As a result, when we need to make sizeable unexpected purchases we rely on grants such as this one.
