Recipient Org: Description Minehead Dementia Action Alliance aim to promote the health and well-being of people living with dementia, and their families and carers, in Minehead and the surrounding area, by providing activities for people with dementia, to improve their physical and mental well-being, and to improve their quality of life. We also liaise with local health and social care providers and with regional and national dementia charities to ensure that the needs of people with dementia, and their carers, in the Minehead area are met. Our achievements are being able to continue most activities through online video throughout the pandemic lockdown, in person with measures in place when government guidance allowed, and have always continued to provide weekly activities since 2015. We have successfully in the last year gained charity status through the constant hard work and dedication of our volunteers.
