Recipient Org: Description The Trust is responsible for maintaining a museum of local history in the medieval building known as 'King John's Hunting Lodge in Axbridge. The Trust was pleased to be able to reopen the museum to visitors in July 2021 following the easing of restrictions which had forced closure for the entire 2020 season and the first part of the 2021 season. The trust was also able to continue to operate and further develop the school outreach programme being undertaken. We have expanded our partnerships with local schools, providing 'hands-on' work boxes for the children to experience various era eg Romans, Tudors, WW2. We visited three schools to give talks as well as ihosted visits to our museum. The trust has increased accessibility to the museum through development of its website www.kingjohnshuntinglodge.co.uk including a donations page linked to JustGiving. Development of the site and other social media continues.
