Recipient Org: Description Kozia is an Eastbourne based charity whose aim is to address the issue of homelessness and those living in disadvantaged situations within our local community. By equipping our disadvantaged members of the Eastbourne community with essential tools to deal effectively with daily life’s challenges, we aim to empower others one by one to transform their own lives. We aim to deliver preventative measures ensuring that individuals on the verge of losing their homes, employment, and are vulnerable to a decline in mental health, are empowered to make important personal changes. Collectively we will create flourishing, healthily, happy and resilient communities. Kozia’s objectives are to offer support groups to anyone impacted by homelessness (past, present or impending) providing services including: • peer & one to one assistance • support & encouragement to engage with mainstream medical service (if required) • emotional & mental wellbeing • financial advice • employment opportunities • housing support
