Learning By Heart is a romantic comedy-drama by BAFTA-nominee Virginia Gilbert. It is the story of JULIET, a young student with Asperger’s syndrome, who struggles to accept her condition, choosing to hide it. When her university place is threatened, Juliet turns to film as a tool to help her study 'acceptable' behaviour, make sense of the world, and salvage her academic career. Helped by her new-found friend, DAVE, a shy, wannabe filmmaker, Juliet tries to find an identity that fits, but is forced to recognise that she already has one more lovable than any she might try to mimic.
