Our Future Health Founding Charity Membership and Targeted Funding into Data and Technology (360G-Wellcome-327672_Z_25_Z)

£9,999,996

Our Future Health aims to enable everyone to live longer, healthier lives through better prevention, earlier detection and improved treatment of diseases. This proposal covers funding for core programme costs and targeted investments into data and technology to enable a broader range of users to engage with the resource. We will develop technology to: • Enable a broad set of users to obtain data visualisations, metrics and insights regarding population health outside a trusted research environment. This will be valuable to health planners, commissioners and policymakers. • Build internal platforms to innovate more quickly using data and produce data products. We will optimise for the analysis required to recontact participants to invite them to take part in further studies. • Investing in our ‘data layer’ by adopting common data models, which enable researchers to make a faster start with Our Future Health data and work across multiple cohorts more easily. • Provide enhanced, semi-automated checking of airlock imports and exports for scalable, efficient and safe public health insights. Throughout, we will leverage our scale so we can provide leadership to the community. We will also work closely with cohorts around the world to promote harmonisation and strengthen the case for reproducible research.
