Youth Mental Health Hub at SXSW London 2026 (360G-Wellcome-348473_Z_26_Z)
The Child Mind Institute, in partnership with Wellcome Trust, proposes to deliver the inaugural Youth Mental Health Hub at SXSW London 2026: a curated platform for spotlighting practical, evidence-informed approaches to youth mental health. Embedded within a major international forum spanning technology, media, culture, and public conversation, the Hub will bring greater visibility and coherence to youth mental health programming across the week. Through 4-7 linked sessions and related engagement activities, the Hub will convene contributors from clinical care, science, technology, sport, media, and lived experience to examine approaches that can strengthen prevention, early support, family and community resilience, and public understanding. Working topics include family resilience, sport- and community- based pathways to support, responsible uses of AI, mental health in the media, and youth mental health in contexts of conflict and recovery. The project will produce a distinctive youth mental health presence at SXSW London, foster exchange among UK, U.S., and international partners, and generate a post-event summary to support further dissemination and collaboration.
