Ayr United Football Academy (AUFA) delivers sport, through football, to the local community. It encourages participation in sport amongst people of all ages and abilities via a varied community programme. This includes Football for Life – a programme targeting over 50s, elderly, people with dementia, carers, socially isolated and people with mental health issues. The programme consists of 6 projects: Walking Football centres for over 50s. Weigh to go, Football Memories, Strollers walking group, The Shed and Football For Life Group. This grant contributes to the Football for Life running costs for the next 24 months.
