| Recipient Org: Description | Darnley Street Family Centre provides a community nursery and community centre in East Pollokshields, Glasgow. The nursery has been running for 20 years in partnership with Glasgow City Council, who provide the funding for nursery places for children from 3 to 5. The community centre runs a number of activities including English classes, men?s group for 60+ and a gardening project. East Pollokshields is a substantially multi-ethnic area, and the activities run in the centre respond to the particular needs of the local residents. The centre is used by around 100 people each week. |
