Recipient Org: Description Inverness, Badenoch and Strathspey Citizens Advice Bureau was established in 1969 to provide people with free, independent, confidential and impartial information and advice. They work with people of all ages, but primarily adults. They offer support in the areas of benefits, debt & money advice, relationships, employment, housing, consumer matters and disputes with neighbours. They aim to empower people to take control of their lives, make their own decisions and bring about improvements. They are a full time service, operating across three main sites and 9 outreach centres. They receive around 55 contacts per day, either by phone or people calling in at the office. A half of all enquiries relate to benefit issues and one third are about debt. They support an average of 8000 individuals per year.
