Recipient Org: Description Al Masaar is a Forth Valley-based charity our aim is to help ethnic minorities feel involved in the local community and improve lives by helping those in need. We help improve: - ? Mental health and well-being of women/children by providing them with a safe space to take part in different activities. We have organised various workshops throughout the year, i.e., mental health and wellbeing training, confidence building, healthy eating sessions, internet safety course, yoga, Zumba classes, hiking, and outdoor projects such as our Forest School for children. Camping for teens and children, clay sessions, sewing sessions, book clubs and violin classes, football, climate change workshops and much more ? Providing peer support for women and children ? Upskilling workshops by providing courses ? internet safety course, self-defence, Muay Thai, paediatric first aid, Autism Understanding, Dementia training etc ? Prevent isolation through peer support ? We work closely with different organisations i.e., Care centre- Falkirk Carers Centre, Shakti Women?s Aid, CEMVO, Stirling Aid, CSREC, and Friends of Scottish Settlers, to name a few- where we get referrals from and help people who need it most. ? Our aim now is to help ethnic minority men as many men have approached us regarding support. As they are feeling overwhelmed with life, facing difficulties, isolation, health problems, facing isolation, poverty etc. Some are new in the country while some are British-born but feel isolated and suffering from illnesses etc
