Enabling millions of people each year to access the right post-18 education for them and reach their potential by providing a fair and sustainable finance system for students and taxpayers.Grants are generally paid under two categories: students with dependants and students with a disability or learning difficulty. For dependants' grants, students with adult and/or child dependants may be eligible for a grant and the amount is contingent upon the income of the dependant and that of the student and their partner.For disabled student allowances, the grant is available to students who incur additional costs when studying due to a disability or specific learning difficulty. This allowance is not dependent upon family income.
