Barriers for attendance include lack of knowledge around lung cancer and lack of awareness of the Targeted Lung Health Checks. The proposal from Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is designed to tackle these barriers through the following by:Highlighting the importance of early detectionChallenge disease and symptom misconceptionsProvide accessible information about lung cancer and the TLHC programmePrime eligible participants to respond to invitationsPhase one of the campaign will focus on pre-education, increasing the publics awareness of lung cancer and in turn illustrating the importance of the TLHC programme when it comes to early detection.The second phase will be a very targeted campaign, focused on eligible participants ensuring they are aware of the TLHC ahead of receiving an invite and fully understand why and what they are being invited for.Success will be measured through research and engagement of the communication assets as well as monitoring uptake levels. By increasing uptake levels this will help us in achieving our long term ambition to diagnose more cancers at an earlier stage, also enabling simpler and often more successful treatment.
