We are looking for bids that provide support in the following ways:Supporting the mental health needs of children, young people and adults with learning disability and autistic individuals who may struggle to access ordinarily available supportSupporting autistic children, young people and adults those with a learning disability to access appropriate health care and support and supporting individuals to access annual health checksSupporting autistic children, young people and adults and those with a learning disability when facing crisis to prevent admission to inpatient mental health careSupporting parent carers, family members and carers who have been affected and impacted by COVID-19.Providing information, advice and support for children, young people, adults and their parent carers, families and paid carers about their rights to care, support and treatment.On 27 March 2021, the Government published a COVID-19 mental health and wellbeing recovery action plan. The plan sets out their actions to prevent, mitigate and respond to the mental health impacts of the pandemic during 2021 to 2022.The plan gives details of how the £500million, announced in the Spending Review, to support recovery of the Long-Term Plan ambitions for mental health will be allocated. Whilst recovery across all mental health services should ensure it is considering the needs of individuals with learning disability and autistic people, and making reasonable adjustments, £31m has been specifically allocated to support specific Learning Disability and Autism projects and is one-off, non-recurrent money for 2021/22£31 million to address particular challenges faced by individuals with a learning disability and autistic people, who are struggling with their mental health, and to support faster discharge from mental health settings back into the community. Specifically, funding will be used to address the diagnostic backlog in autism services and investment in early identification and intervention, to prevent children and young people with learning disability, autism or both, escalating into crisis. This will also include strengthening good quality inpatient care, with particular support to enable step down and discharge for those with the most complex needs
