Operation Soteria was launched by the Home Office in June 2021 as a core action in the UK Governments End-to-End Rape Review to help deliver the ambition to more than double the number of adult rape cases reaching court by the end of May 2024.Summary of Scheme:2-year Grant funding to the College of Policing to contract key academic capabilities to nationally rollout the Operation Soteria National Operating Model. This is in order to improve the response to and investigate of rape and other sexual offences significantly improved.The NOM has been developed by a central team hosted within Mayors Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), working to the NPCC lead on adult rape. The NOM was launched in early July with access to it granted to all 43 police forces in England and Wales. The next major stage is to ensure that the NOM is adopted and implemented nationally.
