To fund Islington council to make a technical change for an 'API only' form of access that more LA's can use at lower cost. This will increase the amount of automated checks that can be conducted improving outcomes for LA's (less effort to establish immigration status) and service users (easier to prove status and access services). We would anticipate this could decrease the risk of people becoming homeless if they are unable to prove their immigration status effectively.
