Dorset Police Marine Capability (360G-cabinetoffice-G2-GA-2025111632932-24-25)

Funding Organisation
£800,000

Funding will ensure Dorset Police have suitable and safe marine vessels to patrol waters in the Southwest of the UK. Working alongside Border Force, these new vessels will provide a robust deterrent to those looking to exploit the English Channel for illegal immigration, but also drugs or firearms. Dorset Police have also indicated that the purchase of these two vessels will improve the current capability exponentially, ensuring officers can patrol their responsible areas and support maritime policing to neighbouring forces. They will also be able to respond to other maritime-linked crimes such as theft, anti-social behaviour and terrorism.
