A690 is a youth project operating in the West of Sunderland. Last year it successfully applied to the Foundation for ?41,733 to employ two part-time support workers to work with a group of around 60 young people who are not in employment, education or training. It is currently ahead of target having helped 33 young people secure employment. A690 has reapplied for continuation funding of ?45,600 with a proposal to get 38 young people into sustainable employment over the year.This is a well-established youth project with a history of innovation. The two young workers who are employed are energetic and committed to the programme.
