To develop a national strategy to improve the sustainability and conservation standards of preserved industrial sites with public access. To improve the capacity amongst owners and managers in securing the long-term future of these sites. To create a network of relevant stakeholders and support mechanisms that is sustainable beyond the life of the project. To address thematic and geographic gaps in the coverage of the project to date. To develop and pursue new partnerships to maintain an industrial heritage support project in England beyond March 2020, with potential for a UK wide involvement to achieve this. To disseminate the best practice learned through the project, including exploring links with other UK-wide heritage bodies.
