Recipient Org: Description My Life My Choice builds the profile, skills, self-esteem and independence of the learning disabled community. Led by Trustees with learning disabilities the charity operates innovative and challenging user-led projects (e.g. radio show, nightclub, travel training, Power Up training team, and self-help groups) to support beneficiaries to have a voice in order to play a positive part in social change both locally and nationally. The charity won the Prime Minister’s Big Society Award in November 2013.
