Joanna Bevan founded Speak Street pop up language cafe as a positive, community response to migration. Speak Street offers a fun and social way of language learning by bringing migrants together with their English speaking neighbours. Speak Street improves community cohesion at the same time as improving people's skills and confidence. With this grant, Joanna wants to establish a permanent community hub for Speak Street.
