I Will REIGN: Youth Board (360G-phf-42621)

£100,000

REIGN educates on child sexual abuse and exploitation through 'The Collective’, a group of people with lived experience. This grant will enable REIGN to recruit a ‘young person’s board’ of 16–25-year-olds with experience of child sexual abuse and exploitation. This will ensure their work remains relevant to the concerns of young people and ensures the opportunity for leadership is continually passed onto future generations.

Recipient Org: Description REIGN is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that educates on child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSA/E) through the ‘Collective’, a group of young people with lived experience. The Collective was started by young people, who now consider themselves ‘grown up’ as they approach age 30. To ensure the work remains relevant to those currently subjected to CSA/E, REIGN plan to recruit a ‘young person’s board’ of 16–25-year-old survivors, to co-design training, consultancy services, and toolkits. This will include developing new in-depth workshops on topics such as transitions into adulthood and being a young parent after CSA/E and accessing careers after a disrupted education. As young people who were that age when they felt empowered and educated as a member of REIGN, they want to make sure this opportunity for leadership is continually passed onto future generations.
