Decolonising DBT (360G-phf-44820)

£10,000
Recipient Organisation

Body & Soul supports children, young people, and families whose lives have been affected by childhood adversity and trauma. It uses a ‘whole person’ model of care rooted in a strengths-based approach that nurtures connection, healing and growth. This grant supports their project, Decolonising DBT, which adapts gold-standard suicide prevention therapy to meet the cultural needs of young people from racialised communities. Led by those with lived experience, the project addresses racial trauma and systemic injustice, creating inclusive, evidence-based materials and training to improve outcomes and equity in mental health care.
