Volunteer project, who befriend lonely older people (360G-tnlcomfund-0030028532)

With help from a Lottery grant Age Concern Buckinghamshire will set up a Homelink Scheme. This scheme provides isolated and lonely older people who are on the waiting list to be matched to a volunteer befriender with a phone friend in the meantime. This phone friend will call the older person on a weekly or fortnightly basis for a chat to help combat social isolation and to signpost them to other services they may need.
