This group owns, and hires out, a 1920's Bechstein piano. The mechanism of the piano makes it difficult to play quietly and is not suitable for the high quality musicians the society engages for its concerts. This award will contribute to the cost of replacing the mechanism with a modern design, making it more suitable for use by piano students at the school where the piano is situated as well for use by professionals. a contribution to replacement of the piano mechanism.
