Tyne Gateway - Extending the Reach (360G-tnlcomfund-0030052927)

£900,000

The Tyne Gateway project will expand work tackling child poverty across North and South Tyneside, and engage around 270 families to raise children's behavioural and educational abilities. A successful pilot to deal with unemployment and lack of skills in the community is being adapted to address wider and more complex issues. 'Family entrepreneurs' will work with families to assess the help and support they need. These entrepreneurs will be from the local community and have experienced similar issues.
