This project will develop a multi-agency early intervention programme that empowers families in Midlothian with multiple risk factors to take control of their situation. It aims to catch families before they enter a crisis stage and their needs become acute. Project work consists of a number of strands which are tailored to the particular needs of the family. A key element aims to improve parenting skills such as positive discipline and confidence building, as well as involvement in school activities._x000B_
