This group will develop a befriending driver service for people over 55 in the South Ayrshire area. The driver service will operate Monday - Friday 9am until 5pm and will take people to health related non clinical appointments such as physiotherapy, dentist and doctor. The grant will fund a 5 door Kia Picanto with a 3 year servicing package, a hands free device supplied and fitted, a car phone contract for 12 months, a smart phone contract for 12 months, marketing leaflets and fuel.
