This registered charity provides a free, independent and confidential advocacy service to any person over the age of 18 in the Scarborough, Whitby, Filey and Ryedale areas. It will use the award to provide the National Advocacy Qualification for co-ordinators, which will then be cascaded to volunteer advocates. This will increase the quality of the service as well as raise awareness among volunteers and clients.
